Trout Fishing

We generally use single handed fly fishing rods when fly casting and fly fishing for trout
 
Fly casting
 
I am qualified to teach in the following casting styles(right or left handed)

• Roll cast
• Jump roll
• Overhead
• Single Spey
• Double Spey
• Single and double hauling
• Casting in windy conditions
• Short and long line techniques
• Casting further and shooting line

I also teach other more advanced casting techniques such as snake roll,circle cast, snap tee, parachute (wiggle) cast, curve casts, line mending.
 
Fly fishing

Fly-fishing for trout is used on two types of water:

• Still water
• moving water

I can teach various techniques on the folowing waters:

• Ponds
• Lakes
• Reservoirs
• Streams
• Rivers

I can also help with:  

Safety - clothing, wading etc

The equipment - you may not have the right equipment! I can supply the right rods, reels, lines and flies etc.

The water craft - the ability to read the water and tell where the fish are.

The tatics - the techniques and stealth to decieve our quarry. The right fly selection.
